Besides the beauty of sea view from the our resort, the other nearest attraction is Tanjung Balau Fishermen Museum. The holds items and exhibits that illustrates how a fisherman works and to an extent, how he lives his life. Out in the compound of the museum, you can see a few life-size traditional fishing boats which also testify to the artistic side of the fishermen community.
The museum was developed by the South Johor Development Authority (KEJORA). This is part of a development project in the local fishermen's village at Tanjung Balau. Many artifacts are on exhibit, including fishing nets, tackles with authentic replicas of the tools used. There are also gaily decorated traditional boats, rafts and vessels used by local fishermen.
Bayu Balau Beach Resort is situated in the province of Tanjung Balau beach, Kota Tinggi, Johor. From Pasir Gudang, by car, the drive will take about less than 1 hours using Senai-Desaru expressway. And about 2 hours drive from Kulai interchange (via Plus Highway) passing by Kota Tinggi and heading towards Tanjung Balau, Bandar Penawar. From Singapore there are two ways to get to our Resort, the convenient way is to get the ferry service from Changi Point Singapore to Tanjung Belungkor which will be breath taking experience on sea for approximately 40 minutes and by another 30 minutes drive to the resort by our transportation service or local taxi service. An alternative way is by road via Tambak Johor or the Second Link.
